Good morning friends!
It's Avery Elle Release Day, and I am so excited to share with you a few cards that I made featuring the Fa La La stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments dies.
First up, a rustic holiday card with lots of dimension and texture. Starting with a kraft note card from the Natural Collection, I wrapped the notecard with some twine and secured it with a strip of washi tape that would be hidden by the scalloped banner layer.
Next, I stamped the wreath using Celery pigment ink and the berries using Cherry pigment ink onto a piece of Rustic card stock that I had die-cut using the Scalloped Banner die set. I adhered the stamped banner to the notecard using foam tape. I stamped the Merry Christmas banner onto rustic cream card stock using Cherry ink and die cut it using the coordinating Fa La La dies.
I stamped the sentiment onto an American Crafts chalkboard label with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I found the chalkboard labels at TJ Maxx a few months ago and couldn't resist picking them up. They are also available online here. I layered the banner with the label and adhered it to the card with foam tape.
I have another take on this stamp set with a card that is perfectly flat and great for mailing.
I heat embossed the wreath and the sentiment onto black card stock with white embossing powder. I allowed the embossing to cool down and then I sponged some Avery Elle white pigment ink onto the card stock to give it a bit of a chalkboard look.
I adhered the stamped panel to a notecard from the Midnight collection.
Funny story: Sophie came into my craft room as I was working on this blog post, and I asked her if she thought the card looked like chalkboard and she advised "not really. It looks more like a stormy sky." This is the kid whose classroom has a smart board- not a chalkboard, but I just love her honesty! LOL!
