Hello Sunshine {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Katie here with a card and technique to share with you featuring Avery Elle's Loads of Hello stamp set. Loads of Hello is such a great set and the main sentiments are a substantial size and easily command attention on a card.

One of my favorite techniques for sets with big and bold sentiments is to substitute an image for a letter.

For this technique, I selected the "hello" sentiment. I stamped and die cut 'hello" and cut off the "o" and replaced it with the sun image from the Sunshine stamp set.

To reinforce the sunshine vibe, I added the "sunshine" text block from the Loads of Hello set. I created the background using the Oval Burst Elle-ments die and the Cloud Mat Elle-ments die. I backed the oval with a gradient blue piece of patterned paper from the Spring Collection paper pad. I also added a couple clouds I had previously cut using the Cloud Mat die.

Once everything was adhered into place, I added a few clear sequins as a finishing touch.

I hope this idea inspires you to look at new ways to combine your sentiments and images! Thanks for stopping by!

Avery Elle Spring 2021 New Release!

Hello friends,

I am so excited to share my first projects from Avery Elle's Spring 2021 Release.  I have two cards to share with you today featuring the absolutely adorable and charming Elephantastic stamp set.

For my first card, I blended Distress Ink onto a panel of water color card stock to create grass and sky. Next, I stamped the images onto white card stock and colored them with Copic markers.

I die cut the images using the coordinating Elephantastic Elle-ments dies and arranged them onto the blended panel. I adhered the images to the panel and stamped the sentiment in black ink.

For my next card, I decided to create a slimline design.  I used a stencil made with the Pierced Clouds Elle-ments die (Retired) and lots of shades of Distress Oxide ink to create a rainbow cloud background. I spattered the background with both water and white ink to create the ink lift effect.

I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers.  I die cut the images using the coordinating Elle-ments dies and a scrap of white card stock with the Pierced Clouds die. I adhered the images to the card and stamped a sentiment from the new Circle Tags stamp set in black ink. It's hard to spot in the photos, but I used a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush marker to add a little extra sparkle to the stars!
