All My Kisses {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Christmas is still fresh in my mind, but I love that we are shifting into Valentine's mode. Valentine's Day is my most favorite of all the holidays for paper crafting! Bring on all the hearts, doilies, and all the delicious shades of reds and pinks. I am here for it! I am kicking off my Valentine's Day crafting with a card featuring Avery Elle's All My Kisses stamp set and the XOXO Elle-ments die.

I die cut the XOXO Elle-ments die from a panel of white card stock three times. I adhered the die cut panel to a piece of water color card stock blended with Distress Oxide Inks and spattered with white paint.

I stamped, colored and die cut the adorable puppy. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of black card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered the puppy and the sentiment to the card. As a finishing touch, I added the three tiny hearts. I die cut the hearts from red card stock and added a layer of glossy accents to the die cuts for added dimension.

Loads of Thanks {Avery Elle}

 Hello friends,

I have a couple cards to share with  you today featuring Avery Elle's Loads of Thanks stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments dies. I was able to get two cards out of the same amount of design effort.

I blended several shades of Distress Oxide ink onto a panel of watercolor card stock. I die cut the "thanks" word and outline from the blended panel and from white card stock. I layered the word and outline and used Avery Elle's Liquid Glue adhesive to attached the word to the outline.

I die cut two of the Oval Burst Elle-ments and stamped some of the sentiments onto white card stock with black ink. I trimmed out the sentiments with scissors.

I assembled the cards varying the layout and orientation slightly. I attached the "thanks" die cut to the card with foam tape for a little extra dimension.  A few clear flat sequins add a finishing touch.

Avery Elle Winter 2020 Release and Blog Hop!

Hello friends,

I am so excited to share my first projects from Avery Elle's Winter 2020 Release.  I have two cards to share with you today featuring the beautiful Sending Flowers stamp set.

For my first card, I stamped a background using all of the floral images. I stamped the flowers in Versamark ink before heat embossing the images with Rose Gold embossing powder. I colored in the flowers with Copic markers.  I die cut the stamped panel with the Wonky Stitches die and adhered it to a silver note card. I stamped the sentiment, also embossed in Rose Gold, onto a strip of white card stock. I attached the sentiment to the note card with foam tape and a few clear sequins add a finishing touch.

For my next card, I stamped, embossed, colored and die cut all the flower images and arranged them around the Quilted Frame Elle-ments die. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in the oval of the Quilted Frame die and added a few clear droplets as a finishing touch.

Christmas Mice {Avery Elle}

 Hi everyone!

Katie here with a card to share with you featuring Avery Elle's adorable Christmas Mice stamp set.

I stamped the mice and accessories onto white card stock and colored them with Copic markers. I die cut the stamped images using the coordinating Elle-ments dies.

For the background, I blended three shades of Distress Oxide ink (Lucky Clover, Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers) and spattered the blended background with white paint.

I die cut the Happy Holidays Elle-ments die from a panel watercolor card stock blended with red ink. I die cut it second time from white glitter card stock. I layered the two die cuts and offset them slightly to create a three dimensional look.

I stamped the sentiment in black ink and adhered the mice and accessories to the bottom of the card panel.

Jingle {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Just popping in today to share a couple simple cards featuring Avery Elle's Jingle stamp set. I adore this script and the holiday edition is so fun! For my first card, I used the Fa and La stamps to create a Christmas Tree shape.

I decorated the "tree" with enamel dots and added a die cut rectangle (it's the stocking cuff from the Christmas Cookies Elle-ments set). You could also use sequins or other small stamp shapes to create the ornaments if you need to make the card flat for mailing.

Supplies:

For my second card, I paired the Peace on Earth sentiment with the bear from the Peek-A-Boo Holiday Tag Toppers Elle-ments dies.

I placed the bear on top of a die cut made with the Star Scene Elle-ment die. I backed the die cut with some glittery paper and added some details and shading to the bear with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment with Versamrk ink before heat embossing it with silver embossing powder.

Avery Elle Fall 2020 Release and Blog Hop!

Hello friends!

I am so excited for Avery Elle's Fall 2020 Release. It's full of all kinds of stamps and dies perfect for celebrating and crafting the most wonderful time of the year! All of the new items are available for purchase now in the Avery Elle shop and retail partners.

I have a couple of projects to share using the new Holiday Circle Tags clear stamps and dies.

I used the Santa Tag image to create a simple card. I used a die to cut a 2" circle in a panel of white card stock and nested the tag in the opening. I stamped the snowflakes on the panel and added a sentiment from the Jingle clear stamp set. A few sequins and a strip of patterned paper add a festive finishing touch.

I also used the Santa Tag, coordinating Holiday Circle Tags Elle-ments dies and the Peek-a-Boo tag to decorate a small gift bag. I covered the gift bag with papers from Avery Elle's Holiday Collection paper pack. I stamped and colored the Santa Tag, die cut the tag and added the outer scalloped circle. It's the perfect size to create a focal point on a small canvas. I added a tag created with the Peek-a-Boo Tag Elle-ments. I tied the tag with twine and used a tiny clothes pin to attach the tag to the bag.

The Avery Elle Design Team will be showcasing projects using the new release today in a fun blog hop! Be sure to stop by all the team members' blogs and show some love for the new products and designs.

STAMPtember Exclusive: Holiday Bells

Hello friends,

I am thrilled to share that Avery Elle's contribution to Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember party is available now! Holiday Bells is a jaunty, sassy holiday set, and I absolutely adore it. The clear stamp set is available for purchase now exclusively at Simon Says Stamp.

I had the most fun designing and creating this festive scene, my first card of the holiday season!

I stamped the bell outlines with black hybrid ink and colored the images with Copic Markers. On the orange and aqua bels, I stamped the bell patterns on top of the colored image using a coordinating ink color. I used a Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the bells and the bows that I stamped with black ink.

On a panel of Distress Water Color card stock, I blended some Distress ink in Mowed Lawn and stamped the pine boughs on top with a few different shades of green ink. I stamped the sentiment onto the panel with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I used a tape runner to adhere the bells to the card and Avery Elle's Liquid Adhesive to glue the tiny bows to the top of the bells. I added a few highlights to the bells with a white gel pen and some clear flat sequins as a finishing touch.

Here's a peek at the Holiday Bells stamp set available NOW at Simon Say Stamp while supplies last.

Big Congrats {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the Big Congrats stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments die.

Using the Big Congrats Elle-ments die, I cut Congrats from gold card stock and the backing layer in white card stock. I layered the die cuts and used Avery Elle's liquid adhesive to attach the layers together.

I stamped the "So Happy for You" sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

I had a crafty zoom session with my friends on Saturday night and pulled out some alcohol inks. I played around with the supplies and created a few backgrounds using different colors. I pulled out one of this backgrounds and trimmed it to an A2 panel. I adhered the die cut and sentiment onto an alcohol ink background. I added a few clear flat sequins as a finishing touch.

Suns Out and Whiskers {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog this week with a double feature of inspiration... two cards featuring the Suns Out and Whiskers stamp sets!

First is a card featuring the adorable and hilarious Suns Out clear stamps. This set just makes me smile. I colored the Bunny and his toasty buns with Copic Markers, die cut the images and positioned him on the Sea Scene Elle-ments die. I adhered the sea scene to an A2 notecard covered with Avery Elle's patterned paper.

I added a cluster of flowers and leaves from the Tropical Bouquet clear stamps and stamped the sentiment in black ink onto a Party Tag Elle-ments die cut. I trimmed the tag and adhered it to the top of my card.

Supplies

My next card features the new Whiskers clear stamps. I wanted to feature ALL the kitties in the set, so I decided to create four little vignettes on a slimline card. I masked off the card at 2 1/8 increments and blended Distress Oxide ink to create the backgrounds. I spattered the blended panel with water and used an white gel pen to brighten some of the water spots.

Next I stamps, colored and die cut all the kitties and their accessories. I adhered the kitties to each panel and added a sentiment from the set. I really love these sweet felines and I know just the cat lover who will appreciate this card!

Supplies:

Well that's all for me this Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start.

Fuzzy Puppy Card {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Puppies are the best. They're so fuzzy and sweet. All of that darling puppy goodness is captured perfectly in Avery Elle's new Dog-Gone clear stamp set.

Sometimes, colored images can look a bit flat, but there's a very simple technique that you can use to add a little texture and dimension to stamped images colored with Copic markers.

First, stamp and color your images as usual.  If there are any parts of the image that you don't want to texturize, leave that area uncolored. (See the dog collar and tag in the bottom left image below. )

Next, grab a terry cloth towel and Copic Colorless Blending Solution and add a few drops a small area of the towel.

Press the towel on the colored images and the blending solution will lift the ink leaving behind the texture of the towel.

Super fun and simple too! Now here are all these fuzzy cuties on a card.

I used a cloud stencil and the Dotted Borders Elle-ments die to create a little background for the puppy party. I added some of the accessories and smaller images from the stamp set to round out the scene.

Supplies:

I hope you'll give this technique a shot next time you'd like to add some faux fur texture to your colored images.

I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies, and before adhering them to the background, I spattered the background with a bit of water and white paint.

I adhered the images to the card, stamped the sentiment and some of the bugs with black ink. I used a white gel pen to color in the bug wings and to intensify some of the ink spatters.

Camping Critters Slimline Card + VIDEO {Avery Elle}

Hello!

I am on the Avery Elle blog and You Tube channel this week with a video to share with you featuring the adorable Camping Critters clear stamps on a Slimline card. Slimline cards are very popular right now. Trying something a little different using supplies that you already have adds just a little extra jolt of joy into the creative process.

Slimline cards also give you all that glorious space to fill. The Camping Critters needed a background befitting of the great outdoors.

There are lots of different size variations on Slimline cards, but my favorite is 3 5/8 x 8 1/2. Using those dimensions, I can trim a sheet of watercolor card stock into equal thirds with only a tiny strip of leftover scrap paper.

Slimline panels will fit into the regular-size MISTI and the finished cards pair with #10 business sized envelopes. Take a peek at my video to see how it all came together.

Supplies:

I hope this video helps demystify the Slimline card, and you'll give it a try for a future project!

Stay Cool {Avery Elle}

Hello friends

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring a couple of cool characters from the Stay Cool Clear Stamps set. This set is fantastic for all the cool cats, bunnies, dogs and bears in your life and the sentiments are perfect for so many occasions.

I stamped the bear and dog images onto white card stock and colored them with Copic Markers. I die cut the images along with the "Stay Cool" speech bubble. I needed a cool background befitting of these characters, so I layered a piece of ombre paper from The Spring Collection Paper Pad behind a die-cut background created with the Waves Elle-ments die.

I adhered the images to the background. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto a tag created with the Party Tags Elle-ments. I added some of the stars from the set as a finishing touch before adhering the completed panel to an A2 notecard.

Thanks for stopping by, party animals! I hope you have a cool week!

Avery Elle Summer 2020 Blog Hop

Hello friends!

I am so excited for Avery Elle's Summer 2020 Release! There's a fun blog hop full of inspiration and a giveaway too!

I am sharing a couple of cards featuring the new Peek-A-Boo Boat stamp set. I LOVE a Peek-A-Boo set and I wanted to give these nautical pals some space to catch waves, so I created a slimline card which gave me space for the speed boat to pull the inner tube.

I trimmed a panel of water color card stock to 3 5/8 x 8 1/2. I used Distress Ink to blend a sky and water background. I stamped, colored and die cut the images and adhered them to the card attaching the inner tube to the boat with a piece of cherry hemp twine.

I added some of the jumping fish and water droplets as a finishing touch and stamped the sentiment in the top right corner of the card.

For my next card, I tried a fun Z-fold technique which would reveal a surprise scene.

I stamped, colored and die cut the images and set them aside. To make the Z-fold card, I ink blended a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 panel of watercolor card stock and scored it at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4. I folded along the score lines to make a Z-shape.

I positioned the hammerhead shark in the center of the top panel so that it would hide the whale in the inner tube. I trimmed the sentiment and stamped it on the top panel and added another sentiment to the inner tube. I connected the two vessels with twine.

 I love how this sweet scene reveals itself with this fun interactive design.

All of the new products are available or purchase now in the Avery Elle store.
To celebrate our Summer 2020 Release Blog Hop, Avery Elle is giving away a stamp set of their choice to 3 winners.  To enter to win just comment on this post and on the posts of the Avery Elle Design Team participating in today's hop.

Dino-mite Day {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Stopping in today to share a card featuring the adorable and fierce dinosaurs from Avery Elle's Rawr Clear Stamp set.

These dino pals are ready to celebrate, so I set the scene using Avery Elle's Leafy Frame Elle-ments die. I die cut the frame twice, once from green card stock and the second time from patterned paper. I inverted the green card stock frame before glueing the layers together for some added interest and dimension.

I stamped and colored the dinosaurs and party hats with Copic Markers and die cut them with the coordinating Elle-ments dies. I adhered the die cut frame and dinos to a panel of watercolor card stock blended with a bit of Distress Oxide ink around the edges.

For the sentiment, I borrowed the frame from the Peek-A-Boo Jungle stamp set. I stamped the banner and sentiment on black card stock with Versamark ink before heat embossing with white embossing
powder. I die cut the banner and added it to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a dino-mite day!

Peek-A-Boo Fair Double Feature {Avery Elle}

Hi friends,

Katie here with a Double Feature video for Avery Elle! Two cards using the Peek-A-Boo Fair stamp set.  This set makes an adorable backdrop for the Peek-A-Boo pals. I just couldn't decide between bumper cars and ferris wheel, so I bought the extra ride ticket and made two cards!

I really love the "I miss bumping into you" sentiment paired with the bumper car images. I know many of us miss bumping into our special friends right now.

The dragon from the Peek-A-Boo Scary Pals joined the unicorn for a fun day at the fair. The dragon looks so festive in a party hat while the unicorn snacks on cotton candy.

I hope you will take a peek at my video to see how the cards came together!
