Legendary Birthday {Avery Elle}

Hi friends,

Katie popping in today to share a card featuring Avery Elle's Legendary clear stamp set. It's well established that the Kraken loves to party and a birthday card featuring festive wishes from a Kraken would be, well, Legendary. This set is also perfect for making clever cards for the dudes in your world. Be they little squids or bigger than pirate ships. This card will be winging its way to my brother in a couple weeks in honor of his birthday. (No worries, I am 100% sure that he does not read my blog.)

 I stamped the Kraken, ship and cake onto a panel of white card stock and colored the images with Copic markers. After the Kraken was colored, I used a white gel pen to color the suction pods white. This is much easier than trying to keep these spots color-free when coloring and blending with markers.

I adhered the Legendary images to a panel of watercolor card stock that I had stamped with the background image from the Swell stamp set using Versafine Black Onyx ink and heat embossed with Avery Elle's clear embossing powder. I used Distress Oxide ink in, what else, Salty Ocean to add some color to the water focusing on the outer edge of the card. I stamped the sentiment and adhered the completed panel to an A2 notecard.

That's it for me today. I hope you are having a Legendary day!

Avery Elle Summer 2019 New Release and Blog Hop!

Hello friends!

I am so excited to share with you some of my project using stamps and dies from Avery Elle's Summer 2019 Release! Some of my very favorite items in this release are the Rainbows Clear Stamps and coordinating Rainbows Elle-ments dies.  I was so inspired that I couldn't stop creating, and I have a trio of cards to share with you today.

My first card focuses on the Rainbows Elle-ments dies.  While these dies coordinate with the Rainbows stamp set, they can also be used on their own to create rainbows and shaped card bases.  I die cut different colors of card stock and adhered them to a sheet of fun foam that I also die cut with the Rainbow shape.  I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white card stock cut into the cloud shape.  Once all the pieces were in place, I ran the shape through my die cut machine to give the die cut an inlaid look.

For my second card, I stamped the Rainbow image from the Rainbows Clear Stamps set onto a panel of white card stock and colored the image with Copic markers.  I used the outer Rainbow shape die to cut around the stamped image and adhered it to a panel die cut with the Ray Elle-ments die. I added a few sequins as a finishing touch.

For my final card, I used both the stamps and dies to create a fun shaker card. I used adhesive-backed fun foam to create the shaker chamber.  I filled the shaker element with some flat sequins and iridescent glitter. I stamped the sentiment onto black card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
