CardMaker Magazine and Grafix Arts Blog Hop

Hello friends,

Today, the CardMaker blog team is teaming up with Grafix Arts using some of Grafix Arts innovative products for paper crafters. You should have arrived here from Melissa Bickford's blog. The entire hop list is available on the CardMaker Magazine blog.

I have a couple projects and a video to share with you today.  I love the look of detailed die cuts, but adhering them to my project can be a real pain. Grafix Artist-tac changes all that.  The Artist-tac is a sheet of small adhesive dots that transfer to your die-cuts, no matter how small or large or detailed.

My first project uses the Artist-tact to adhere this super detailed die cut from Waffle Flower Crafts.  I was able to place the die cut onto the Artist-tac, burnish to ensure transfer of the glue, pick it up and adhere it to the square of vellum.  The clear vellum is also from Grafix Arts.

I used the Artist-tac to adhere the vellum square to the card. Because the tacky sheets provide an even layer of adhesive, you can avoid visible glue lines even on clear vellum.

My second project features the Magical Flower Border die from Waffle Flower Crafts. I used the Artist-tac to adhere all the die cuts to this card.

I was so impressed with how easily I was able to adhere these die cut without dealing with messy glue or smelly spray adhesive.

I have a video available on the Waffle Flower channel where I demonstrate the Artist-tac in action.

For more information on the products I used on my card, please visit Grafix Arts and Waffle Flower Crafts

My project today features the new Bunny Card Die.  I squealed when I saw the design for these card dies that are releasing this month.  They are so clever and each set offers so many creative possibilities- you are in for a real treat!

I decided to make a sweet bunny bag by combining the Bunny Card Die with a few other older Paper Smooches dies including:

I measured my gift bag and trimmed a piece of card stock to be the same width as the bag, but much taller to accommodate the bunny ears.  I die cut the card stock using the Bunny Card die and then created the bunny's face using the elements included in the set.  I did swap out the nose with a heart from the Hearts Die set and the bunny's paws are actually from the Dog Pig Fox Card die also releasing in March.

I further decorated the bunny by adding the egg and bow using the Easter Egg dies.  The flowers were made using the Pocket dies and I embellished the centers with yellow enamel dots.  The fringe die created grass along the bottom of the bag.

As a finishing touch, I couldn't resist gluing a white puff ball to the back side of the gift bag as the bunny's tail. :) I am looking forward to whipping up a whole brigade of bunny bags to give to my girls and my niece and nephews this Easter.  They are truly as much fun to make as to receive!

Well you've got some (bunny) hopping to do, so I won't keep you any longer!  Thanks for stopping by and good luck!

City Celebrations {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Hip Hip Hooray!  It's Friday, and there's some celebrating going on in the city!  Well at least on my card featuring the new City Celebrations die and stamp set by Avery Elle.

I am on the Avery Elle blog today sharing this card I made featuring this new die and stamp set. This die set is so innovative, I can't wait to see what everyone dreams up.  For me, I did a bit of paper piecing by simply snipping apart the connecting pieces of paper on the die cuts.

Once that was complete, it was easy to piece everything together like a puzzle.  You could change up the scheme and really paint or piece the town any color you like!

Be sure to stop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle design team.

CardMaker Magazine + Lawn Fawn Valentine's Blog Hop

Good morning and Happy Fri-Yay friends,

The CardMaker Magazine Blog girls are teaming up today with Lawn Fawn to share some ideas and inspiration using Lawn Fawn's newest Valentine's themed products just in time for the big, lovey-dovey, flowers and hearts holiday next week.

You should have arrived here from Stephanie Gold's blog, but if you just stumbled upon my post and want to start at the very beginning, please visit the CardMaker blog or the Lawn Fawn blog.

For my card, I used the Love Letters stamp set and dies along with the Happy Mail die set to create this wintery Valentine's Day scene.

The Happy Mail dies are just so much fun to use.  The set creates a mailbox that you can actually tuck letters into.  Imagine writing a tiny note and tucking it into the mailbox! The mailbox flag could be attached using a brad so the flag could be raised and lowered.  This set really got my creative wheels turning!

I stamped, die cut and colored the sweet birdies with Copic Markers and arranged them in the scene.  A few clear sequins added a finishing touch.

All of the stamps and dies that I used today can be purchased from Lawn Fawn.

Well that's all for me today, but your next stop on today's hop is Rebecca Keppel

Thanks for stopping by!

Avery Elle's Spring Release Blog Hop!

Hello friends,

Welcome to Avery Elle's Spring Release Blog Hop! I am so excited to share with you today the very first of my projects with Avery Elle's new release!

My card features the fun Sip Sip Hooray stamp set along with the Wine Bottle Elle-ments die.  A complete list of the Avery Elle supplies I used on this card is included below.

I die cut the wine bottle from watercolor card stock and then watercolored the die cuts using Distress Ink.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

The wine bottle was attached to a panel of white card stock that I die cut with the Pierced Banner Layers Elle-ment die.  It's kind of hard to see in my photos, but I stamped the small bubbles included in the stamp set with Silver Fox ink and also adhered some clear sequins to the panel as a finishing touch.  I love how they look like champagne bubbles!

To celebrate our Spring 2017 Release Blog Hop, Avery Elle is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to one random winner.  To enter to win just comment on this post.  There is no purchase necessary and you must be 18 years of age or older to enter.  This giveaway is void where prohibited.  You have until midnight Sunday, February 12th to enter.  The winner will be announced on the Avery Elle Blog on Monday, February 13th .  All products are available for purchase in the Avery Elle store right now.

Here's a list of Avery Elle design team members participating in today's hop:

Love Puffin {Avery Elle}

Hello friends and happy Friday!

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a simple card featuring the Love Puffin stamp set and coordinating die.  A list of links to all my supplies is below.

I stamped the Puffins using Avery Elle's New Moon dye ink and colored in the images using Copic Markers.  Next I die cut the land and sea using the Rocky Shores and Swim Team Elle-ments dies.

I adhered all the die cuts to a note card that I covered with a scrap of patterned paper and stamped the sentiment onto the Rocky Shore die cut.

That's it for me today, but next week, I'll have some projects to share using Avery Elle's NEW release!  Yay!  I have it here and it's fabulous!  So many awesome and innovative stamps and dies for your crafty pleasure!   Oh and be sure to stop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle design team.
