Floating Wishes {Avery Elle}

Hello friends!

I hope you had a lovely holiday weekend!  I wanted to stop in today to share a card using Avery Elle's new Floating Wishes stamp set.  I love these floaty, scripty sentiments and the shaped balloon images are super sweet. The sentiments have you covered with everything from hello to thanks and big celebrations!

I used the 'celebrate' sentiment in place of a balloon string and adhered the heart balloon to the top.  I added a couple more balloons to a blended ink background and finished the card with a few pink and yellow sequins.

Well that's it for me today, but be sure to float by the Avery Elle Design blog this week for even more inspiration using the Floating Wishes stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Heartfelt Magnolia Thanks {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Just popping in today to share a card featuring the gorgeous new Magnolia stamp set.  We are lucky to have a well-established Magnolia tree in our front garden and I always eagerly anticipate its bloom each spring.  With the Magnolia stamp set, it can be spring anytime!    ````

For my card, I blended Distress Oxide ink (Tattered Rose) onto a panel of watercolor card stock. I spattered water onto the blended panel to lift some of the ink.  Next I die cut adhered the largest Wonky Scalloped Frame.

For the flowers, I stamped them with Versafine Black Onyx ink onto watercolor card stock and heat embossed the images using Avery Elle's clear fine detail embossing Powder. I colored the blooms using Avery Elle's liquid watercolors in Cherry and Mint to Be.  I die cut the flowers using the coordinating Magnolia Elle-ments dies, stamped the sentiment in black ink and adhered the flowers to the card- the larger bloom was adhered to the card using foam tape for some added dimension.  As a finishing touch, I added a few clear gems.

Avery Elle Summer 2018 Blog Hop!

Hello friends!

Welcome to Avery Elle's Summer 2018 Release Party and blog hop!! I am so excited about the latest round of stamps and dies debuting this month, and I can't wait to share more ideas with you in the coming weeks. For now, I am just mad for the Mod stamp set. I have two takes to share with you today- one is tidy and the other is a totally tubular.

For the tidy Mod card, I stamped the solid triangles onto a panel of white card stock.  A precision stamping tool- like the MISTI- comes in handy if you want to nestle the shapes tightly together. I stamped the lines with black ink and added the sentiment in the center.  I trimmed the panel just slightly, matted it with black card stock and adhered it to a note card.

For the 80's inspired card, I just played with all the different shapes and patterns. I repeated the black diagonal lines in each corner of the panel to give a sense of symmetry and I stuck with a palette of reds/pinks, aquas and yellow.  I love how you can get a dramatically different effect using the same simple stamp set.

I trimmed down the panel, matted it on black card stock and adhered it to a note card.

Now you can't have a Blog Hop without a prize and to celebrate our Summer 2018 Release Blog Hop, Avery Elle is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to one random winner.  To enter to win just comment on this post and the posts of the other designers participating in today's hop.
