Make a Wish(bone)

Hello friends and Happy World Card Making Day!

Just popping in to share a birthday card I made in honor of World Card Making Day.  I have been seeing wishbones show up in art and in jewelry design lately, which started me thinking that wishbones aren't just for Thanksgiving anymore.

I cut a wishbone shape with my Silhouette Portrait then covered it with Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I wanted a rich, decadent look, so I applied a few coats of embossing powder.

Before adhering the wishbone to the card, I die cut a tag and stamped 'make a wish' from Avery Elle's To the Point set.  I just LOVE that font combination.  I secured the tag with a bit of foam tape and tied the string into a bow.  This rectangle was die cut with Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangle Mats.

I am also linking up this card to the All that Glitters is Gold challenge in Moxie Fab World.

Later today I am going to meet up with some of my very best crafty gal pals for a day of stamping and chatting at Archivers!  I hope that you can make some time for card making today.  However you celebrate, I hope your day is filled with lots of creative fun!

Thanks for stopping by!
Katie
