Lovin' Spoonfuls {Avery Elle}

Hello friends and Happy Friday!

I am on the Avery Elle blog today sharing a card featuring the Homemade stamp and die set and the Gift Card Elle-ments die set.

Tis the season for weddings and this is the little card I created for my coworker who is getting married next weekend.

I stamped and die cut the spoons from the Homemade stamp set and colored them with markers.  Next, I added the cute faces from the We Go Together stamp set and the "Mr." and "Mrs." monograms using the Elle's Alphas stamp set.

I adhered the spoons to a panel of striped paper from the Sorbet Collection paper pad. The thin ribbon bow and hearts are from the Finished Frames Elle-ment die set.

Before adhering the completed panel to the notecard, I die cut the note card using the Gift Card Elle-ments die and affixed a Target Gift Card using some baker's twine.  I love how this die can accommodate all different shapes of gift cards.

Well that's all for me today, but be sure to stop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from my talented teamies!

Introducing Congrats {Waffle Flower Crafts}

Hey y'all,

I am back again today to share a card I made with another on of Waffle Flower Craft's spring release stamp sets.  This one features the Doily Circle Die that Nina previewed yesterday on the Waffle Flower Blog and the Congrats Stamp Set.

I die cut the Doily Circle Die 2x from white cardstock and adhered it to a kraft card base.  With my die cut machine, I found a metal shim helpful in ensuring that all the detailed cuts are made cleanly and punch out with ease. Since this die cut it so detailed, I attached it to my card by painting the back of the die cut with Ranger's Multi Medium Matte.

I stamped the sentiment from the Congrats stamp set in Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder.

All of the stamp sets and dies that we are previewing this week will be available for purchase on Thursday, April 9 in the Waffle Flower store.

Well that's all for me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Take 2 Thursday: Studio Calico Camelot Card Kit

Hello friends,

Lindsay and I are back for another installment of Take 2 Thursday.  This week we are playing with the Camelot Card Kit from Studio Calico.

I LOVE this kit and came up with two card projects to share with you today.  First up is a simple Happy Birthday card:

For this card, I stamped the striped candle image repeatedly across a panel of white cardstock.  I added the flames with yellow ink and stamped the sentiment in black ink.

I rounded the corners and adhered the completed panel to card base that I created from a piece of Citrus Slice card stock.

Next up is a one layer card that would be perfect for a spring or summer wedding.

I made a card base from a piece of cream card stock and rounded the bottom corners.  I started by stamping the cake stand with some Gold Delecata ink and next I stamped the sentiment in black ink.  I added a couple layers of cake and clustered the flowers as a cake topper.

A few cream colored sequins are a finishing accent.

Well that is all for me today, be sure to stop by Lindsay's blog to see the gorgeous card she created with this kit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wishing you... PIE

Well, maybe not pie in the traditional sense, but a pie CHART filled with all kinds of good wishes for a couple starting out.  I got some crafty time this weekend and made a card for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge.  My card this week's was inspired (loosely) by the inspiration sketch.

The hot-air balloon from the sketch became a pie-chart. I used the Notebook Paper set to stamp the lined background.  The sentiments came from the Chart Toppers set, and the little male and female icons are from Off the Charts.  The pie chart is a set of sticky notes that I picked up from the dollar spot at Target.  Some washi tape takes the place of the sketch clouds.

Here is a look at this week's sketch.  You have a couple hours yet this evening to link up your take and play along. :)

That's all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by!
