Hello friends,
Happy Friday! I can't believe it's July. Time just flies. Before I share my Avery Elle card this week, I have a little unfinished business to take care of. Back in May, I offered a giveaway of the Hats Off stamp set, and then I promptly went on vacation for a couple weeks without selecting and notifying a winner- yikes! I am so sorry and will do better next time.
Anyway, without, further ado, the winner was number 8, Amy C! Amy, please send me a note with your mailing address and I will get this set out to you. My email is scrappy_diva (at) yahoo (dot) com.
Ok, unfinished business aside, I have a bright and colorful card on the Avery Elle blog today using the Band Camp stamp set and coordinating dies. All my Avery Elle supplies are linked below.
To create the rainbow background, I blended several shades of Distress Ink onto a panel of Distress Watercolor Paper. The ink shades are Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet. Next, I spray water droplets onto the panel and blotted with a paper towel to get that cool bleach dot effect.
With so much color happening in the background, I decided to keep the rest of the card pretty simple. I die cut a panel using the Dotted Borders Ellements die and adhered that over the blended ink background adhering it to the panel with foam tape. I stamped the "Marching By To Say" sentiment onto the white cardstock before adhering it to the panel.
Next, I stamped and die cut all the darling critters from the Band Camp stamp set. Since it's a parade, I also stamped and die cut their little hats so it's all quite official and proper.

Well that's all for me today. For those in the US, I hope you have a safe and happy holiday weekend! Be sure to stop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle Design Team.
Thanks for stopping by!
