Oceans of Fun with the Bubble stamp set {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the Bubbles stamp set along with the Waves Elle-ments die.  A list of Avery Elle supplies used on my card is below.

This Bubbles stamp set is just so cute, I wanted to fit as many sea critters as possible on my card! I managed to get most of them in, except the crab. (Sorry crab!  Now he has true cause to be petulant and crabby!)

First, I stamped the images with Avery Elle's New Moon black dye ink and colored them with Copic Markers.

For the background, I inked a panel of watercolor card stock with Broken China Distress Oxide ink.  I spritzed the panel with water and blotted it with a paper towel.  Next, I adhered a panel cut with the Waves Elle-ments die on top of the inked card stock.

Adhering dies with intricate cut lines can be pretty tricky, so I adhered the die cut by running strips of score tape along the outer border.  The adhesive used to stick the sea critters to the card help to adhere the center of the Waves die to the card. I stamped the sentiment onto a banner from the Pierced Banner Layers Elle-ments and added it to the card with foam tape.  A few clear droplets add a finishing touch.

Introducing G'Day Mate {Avery Elle + Ellen Hutson}

Hello friends,

I am so excited to be participating today in the introduction of a stamp set which is a collaboration between Avery Elle and Ellen Hutson.  Meet the newest United We Flourish stamp and die set- G'Day Mate available now from Ellen Hutson! For your convenience, a list of my supplies with links can be found below.

This set is just adorable and features lots of cutie critters from down under. For my card, I brushed some Distress Ink onto a panel of white card stock using a blending brush.  I love the subtle ink dust that the blending brush creates.  Next I die cut the panel using Avery Elle's Finished Frame die set.  I stamped and die cut the Kangaroo, Platypus, and Koala critters and colored them in with Copic Markers.  I arranged the die cuts onto the panel, adhered them and stamped the sentiment with black ink.

This set will only be available from Ellen Hutson for a limited time, so be sure to snatch yours up today. For more inspiration featuring the G'Day Mate stamp set, visit the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom blog.

Aloha from the Tropics {Avery Elle}

Hello friends!

Happy Friday!  I am up on the Avery Elle blog today with a tropical card to share with you featuring lots of leafy goodness from the Tropics stamp set.  The Tropics stamp set is one of my very favorites from this summer release.  Two step stamping is such a quick and fun way to get striking images with very little effort. A supply list of all the Avery Elle products I used on my card is linked below.

I started with a white A2 note card and used an ink brush to blend a soft yellow inky background. Next I stamped and die cut all the images.  The pineapple and hibiscus flowers are from the Aloha stamp set and I colored those images in with Copic Markers.

I arranged all the elements and adhered them to the card.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink and affixed a few clear droplets as a finishing touch.

Introducing Hooray and Cutaway Alpha Dies {Waffle Flower Crafts}

Hello friends,

I am so excited for Waffle Flower Craft's new release and I have a couple projects to share with you today featuring the Cutaway Alpha dies and the Hooray stamp set.

First up, a card with the Cutaway Alpha dies.  I am such a fan of the Cutaway Alpha stamp set, so these dies are every bit as awesome as the stamps and so versatile.

I used the dies to spell out my sentiment, holding them in place with washi tape as I ran them through my die cut machine.  I removed the letters and then mounted the panel on top of a piece of card stock that I had inked up with Distress Oxide Inks. I adhered the panel with foam tape and added a few star shaped sequins as a finishing touch.

Next up, I have a card featuring the Hooray stamp set illustrated by Helen Dardik.  This stamp set is fabulous for getting in some coloring practice.

For this card, I stamped nearly all the images from the stamp set onto a panel of white card stock with a Copic friendly ink. I colored everything in with Copic markers. I cut the edge of the panel with the Lacy Layers 5x7 dies.  The sentiment is also stamped and heat embossed on the smallest rectangle from the 5x7 stamp set.

I hope you are as excited as I am about these new products.  Everything previewed this week will be available for purchase in the Waffle Flower Crafts store on Thursday, July 20th!

Aloha and Mahalo {Avery Elle}

Hello crafty peeps!

Happy Friday to you!  I'm sharing a fun card today with you today featuring Avery Elle's Aloha stamp set with a few leaves from the Tropics stamp set thrown in for good measure.  A list of all my Avery Elle supplies can be found below.

First I stamped and die cut the coconut and flower from the Aloha stamp set onto card stock using New Moon dye ink. I colored the images with Copic markers.

Next, I stamped and die cut the leaf images from the Tropics stamp set using Avery Elle's pigment ink. I arranged the images and adhered them to a panel of white woodgrain card stock.

After adhering all the elements, I stamped the sentiment onto a white banner cut with the Pierced Banner Layers die and tucked it behind my image cluster.  A few clear sequins finish off the card.

Modern Alpha Hi {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I hope you had a great holiday!  I took some extra time off around the forth which meant this week flew by, and it's Friday already!  I also had a long overdue Crafty Saturday outing with my best crafty girlfriends, and I made a ton of cards that I am so excited to share with you over the next several weeks!!!

First up is a card featuring Avery Elle's Modern Alpha stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments die, which is also being featured on the Avery Elle blog today.

I made this card by blending several shades of Distress Oxide ink onto a white notecard.  I spritzed the card with water to lift the ink.  Next I die cut a panel of white card stock with the Modern Alpha dies- they come arranged just like this right out of the package.

I adhered the die cut panel to the card and stamped the H and I outline images through the die cut layer onto the note card using black ink.  As a final touch, I adhered a strip of black card stock to the bottom of the note card.

Well, that's all for me today, but be sure to stop by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle team.
