Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

Hello all-

Just wanted to share my creations for this month's blog hop by Papertry Ink. This month's blog hop challenge involved you challenging myself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!

I broke in a couple of stamp sets with the following projects. First up, how about a little banner to celebrate Valentine's Day?

Here's a closer look:

For this project I used the Outline Alphabet set which until now had never seen ink! I also broke in my Boxy Banner and Banner Borders dies. Together with Simple Valentine Pattered Paper, Limitless Layers 1.75" dies, Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz & White cardstock, some buttons and ribbon, I made this seasonally appropriate banner and I think it turned out pretty cute. For additional interest along the top of the banner, I faux sewed a straight stitch using a making memories paper piercer and my Uniball White gel pen.

I did say projects and here's the second one. A birthday card that enabled me to ink up Tea for Two and Tea for Two additions.

I stamped the focal point teapot with Tim Holtz distress ink in Stormy Sky and paired it with Basic Gray Kioshi paper. A doily, the doubled ended banner die and the sentiment stamped in dark chocolate ink added to the card. For a little vintage flair, I swiped the end of the kraft cardstock with Fresh snow ink and used the tea dye duo on the doily and the sentiment banner. The bronze brads are making memories.

I hope you enjoyed my projects. I am looking forward to sharing a day of inspiration with all my fellow PTI pals!

Cheers!

Katie
