So Blessed to Have a Friend Like You {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the new Love Birds stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments dies.  All of my Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

Love Birds doesn't feature just birds.  Also included in the set is this adorable girl and sweet floral frame.  I stamped both onto white card stock and colored them in using Copic Markers.

I adhered the girl to a card panel that I die cut using the Wonky Stitches Elle-ments die and stamped the sentiment before adhering the floral frame to the card using foam tape.

Sending Hugs {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

Happy Fri-YAY!  I hope your week is ending on a good note.  I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the Simply Said Hugs stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments die.  All of my Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

I am challenging myself in this new year to use up more of my paper crafting supplies and that includes- you guessed it- paper scraps.  I turned to my envelope full of partial sheets of Avery Elle patterned paper and ended up finding this strip of the adorable string hearts from the Everyday Collection.  I took cues from that scrap of paper and had it guide my other color choices including the green note card and striped paper and pink and white sentiment.

Once I figured out where everything was going to go, I stamped the sentiment in black ink just above the layered pieces of patterned paper.  The layered hugs die cut was adhered using bits of foam tape. Easy peasy, I managed to make a small dent in my patterned paper stash, and now I can add another birthday card to my stash!  I never seem to have enough of those. :)

CardMaker Magazine- Riley and Co Blog Hop!

Good morning friends!

Today, CardMaker Magazine is teaming up with Riley and Co on a fun blog hop to show case some of Riley and Co's fun and inspiring designs.

You should have arrived here from Melissa Pearson's blog.  The entire hop list can be found on the CardMaker blog and the Riley and Co blog

For my card, I used the Word Bubble die set and the hilarious Craftaholic sentiment stamp to create this funny card with a retro vibe. All of my Riley and Co supplies are linked below.

I started with a black note card and adhered thin strips of card stock to the card front at angles. I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and die cut it with the Word Bubble Die.

I decided to carry the design and joke punchline to the inside of the card by continuing the card stock strips and another word bubble.  When I get ready to send this card to a crafty friend who will appreciate the joke, I'll write a note below the word bubble in silver gel pen so it will show up on the dark card stock.

Favorite Person {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the Favorite Person stamp set.  Favorite Person includes lots of wonderful sentiments to let some person know that they are, well, your favorite and the styling of sentiments is just gorgeous and so sophisticated.  Links to my Avery Elle supplies are listed below.

 For my card, I decided to stamp the scripty "XO" sentiment repeatedly to create a pattern across a piece of white card stock.  Then I cut another piece of white card stock with the Dotted Border Elle-ments die to create a diagonal opening so the "XO" pattern can show through.

I stamped the sentiment with black ink before adhering it to the "XO" panel with foam tape.  A few clear sequins added a little touch of sparkle.

Supplies:

Well that's all for me this fine Friday.  Be sure to swing by the Avery Elle blog for even more inspiration from the Avery Elle team.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hooray! {Avery Elle}

Hello friends!

Happy Friday and Happy New Year!  I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the Letter Balloons Elle-ments die.  All of my Avery Elle supplies are listed below.

I love the party trend of using balloons to spell out words.  Seriously, what will people think of next?! These dies can be used to spell out anything you like, so I used them to say "Hooray" for the new year.

I die cut the letters from gold foil card stock.  The balloon strings were cut from white card stock.  Before adhering the letters to the panel that I cut with the Double Pierced Elle-ments die, I added spatters in gold and black. My last step was to adhere some gold, silver and star shaped sequins to the card.
