Hip Hip Hooray for the So Kind stamp set {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card to share with you today featuring a sentiment from Avery Elle's So Kind stamp set. I love the fresh and fun mix of lettering on this sentiment set; it really compliments so many different images and occasions. For my card, I paired the "Hip Hip Hooray" sentiment with the original Peek-A-Boo Pals stamp set.

First, I blended a panel of water color card stock with two shades of Distress Oxide inks (Peacock Feathers and Dried Marigold). I left some white space between the two colors so they wouldn't blend together to make a muddy green. I spattered the blended panel with water and white paint. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment in black ink.

I stamped the Peek-A-Boo pals onto white card stock and colored them with Copic makers.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the Pals and a few of the stars included in the stamp set. I adhered the largest Wonky Scalloped rectangle at an angle onto the water color panel and tucked the Pals and their paws towards the bottom of the frame.  As a finishing touch, I added a few clear sequins before adhering the completed panel to a white notecard.

I hope this card makes you want to celebrate and shout "Hip Hip Hooray" for the So Kind stamp set!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a Phonomenal Day {Avery Elle}

Hello friends!

I am on the Avery Elle blog today sharing an idea with you today to add a little dimension to your paper crafting. 3-D embellishments and elements can make a card extra special. With the Phonomenal stamp set, I fashioned a set of bamboo chopsticks using kabob skewers.

To make the chopsticks, I snipped off the tip of two bamboo skewers.  I used a nail file to smooth the cut ends of the bamboo skewers. I wrapped a small length of thin washi tape around the top of the skewers to add a decorative elements to the tiny chopsticks.

I stamped the images from the Phonomenal stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers. I die cut the images using the coordinating Phonomenal Elle-ments dies.  To ground the images, I blended some Distress Oxide ink onto a panel of watercolor paper, and I placed the bowl on a piece of patterned paper from The Happy Collection paper pad. I adhered all the Pho toppings to the bowl before placing and glueing the chopsticks to the card.

I hope this inspires you to find ways to incorporate a little dimension into you next paper project.  Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me!

Tiki Stand Birthday Card {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I have a fun card to share today featuring Avery Elle's Market Stand stamp set.  I just love the Market Stand stamp set.  It features so many great images and accessories that make it truly versatile; plus it pairs so well with the all the adorable Peek-a-Boo animal sets.

I stamped the images with Avery Elle's dye ink and colored them with Copic Markers.  I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and arranged them on a panel that I colored using two shades of Distress Oxide inks (Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade).

I framed the scene using the Reverse Pinked Elle-ments dies, which happens to be on sale right now in the Avery Elle store!  A speech bubble from the Peek-a-Boo Pets stamp set finishes off the card.

Cake for All Shaker Card + Video {Avery Elle}

Hello!

I am a little behind in sharing a card and video I put together using Avery Elle's awesome Cake for All stamp set and the Scalloped Mat Elle-ments die.

Using the Scalloped Mat die and some adhesive-backed fun foam, I made a shaker window that I filled with clay sprinkles.

I heat embossed the images from Cake for All using Rose Gold Embossing powder and colored them in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  Zig Colors- Pale Pink, Light Carmine, Light Blue, Lilac, Light Green and Pale Green.

Take a peek at the video to see how it all came together.
