Floral Thank You Card {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I'm on the Avery Elle blog today with a card I made using the beautiful Floral Frame stamp set.  All Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

I stamped the Floral image with Versamark onto watercolor paper.  I heat embossed the the image with white embossing powder and watercolored the flowers and leaves using Zig Clean Color markers.

Next, I die cut the stitched and scalloped banner from the Scalloped Banner Ellements die set.  I stamped the "thank you" sentiment and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I adhered the banner layers and floral die cut to a Silver Fox note card from the Midnight Collection. I adhered a strip of striped paper from The Neutral Collection paper pad.   As a finishing touch, I added a frosted gem to the center of all the flowers.

Floral Canopy Birthday Card {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card I made using the Canopy stamp set.  All Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

On a panel of watercolor paper, I stamped the large floral image from the Canopy stamp set in navy archival ink.  Next, I added color using my Zig Clean Color markers.  To soften the colors of the markers, I scribbled them onto a stamp blog and then use a water brush pen to add the color the the card.   Stamping the floral image at the top and bottom of the panel made for a pretty busy background, so I die cut "Happy Birthday" from the A Tag for All Ellements in gold and adhered it to a circle cut with the Double Pierced Circle Ellements. I decided to not punch out the insides of the letter loops for a different look and to carry over the gold, I added a little gold spatter ink to the background before adhering the die cuts to the card.

Succulent Rock Garden {Waffle Flower Crafts)

Hello friends,

Just popping in to share a quick and easy card I made using Waffle Flower Craft's Succulents stamp set and die.  I paired the Succulents with the Rock My World stamp set for a little indoor gardening. Or maybe I should call it indoor CARD-ening. :)

There is something so zen and peaceful about rock gardens and even more so when tough little succulents are added to the mix.  On a panel of white card stock, I stamped the smaller rocks from the Rock My World stamp set in earthy tones of moss, charcoal, gray and tan.  Next, I inked up and stamped the succulents.  I rolled the outer edge of the stamps in a darker ink tone to give it a little added dimension.

Speaking of dimension, I used foam tape to plant these little guys in their rock garden.  I adhered the stamped panel to a kraft note card and stamped the "hello" sentiment in black ink.  I just love the Succulent trend- these low maintenance plants are right up my alley, so I hoping this one sticks around for a while.

Sentimental {Avery Elle}

Hello again, :)

I am on the Avery Elle blog today featuring a card using Avery Elle's Sentimental dies and the Double Pierced Square dies. All Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

My card features the Double Pierced Square dies and let me tell you... if you like making clean graphic cards, this die is a must have.  I die cut the connected squares on scraps of cardstock (coral, pink, aqua, light blue, light green, pale yellow, white and black).  I arranged the die cuts into 4 squares which I adhered to a note card and trimmed off the excess.  I had enough scraps left over to make a second card.

I die cut the word "celebrate" using the Sentimental Dies in black card stock and adhered it to a strip of white card stock matted with more black card stock.

Party Time {Waffle Flower Crafts}

Hello friends,

It's Friday!  Time to party!!!! To celebrate, I am over on the Waffle Flower blog with a collection of fun party ideas featuring balloons.

Balloons served as the inspiration for my card, so I pulled out the Congrats stamp set and created a Celebration card featuring a line up of balloons in rainbow colors.

I did some simple masking to stamp the balloon line onto Bristol smooth paper.  I added color using Zig Clear Color markers and a water brush.

I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the card in black in and used a black pen and ruler to draw in the balloon strings.  I adhered the completed panel to a green note card and voila, all done and party perfect!

Please stop by the Waffle Flower blog for even more party inspiration starring balloons!

Let's Do Lunch {Avery Elle}

Hello friends and happy Friday!

I'm on the Avery Elle blog today with a card I made using the Hello Chum stamp set designed by Caryn Davis.  The shark in this set reminds me a bit of Bruce from Finding Nemo, so I decided to pull out the little clown fish from the Swim Team stamp set and go with it. :)  All of my Avery Elle supplies are linked below.

So if you remember Finding Nemo, Bruce the shark is one of the characters that Nemo encounters on his journey.  Bruce and some other sharks are part of a support group who have adopted the mantra that other fishes are friends, not food.  Bruce struggles with reconciling his new beliefs with his nature.

I stamped the sandy floor and then watercolored the background.  Once the panel was dry, I added some details with stamps- the wavy lines are from Hello Chum and the sandy speckles are from Swim Team.  Next I stamped, colored and die cut the shark.  The while there are no coordinating dies for the smaller fish, he was pretty easy to trim out using my scissors.  I colored him with copics and added the white stripes using a white gel pen. Finally, I stamped the "Let's Do Lunch" sentiment in black ink.  I love that the shark's intent is a little ambiguous towards the little fish.  Is this a friendly invite or something else...

Congratulations on your Special Delivery {Avery Elle}

Hello friends,

I am on the Avery Elle blog today with a card I made featuring the Special Delivery stamp set and the Sentimental dies.  All supplies are linked below.

I stamped and die cut the stork and adorable baby bundle and colored the images in with Copic markers and added them to a note card covered with patterned paper from The Everyday Collection paper pad. The moon behind the stork was cut using circles from the Burst Ellements and colored with Copics.  I die cut the sentiment from the Sentimental Elle-ments  from navy and white cardstock and layered them for dimension before adhering them to the card.
